The landline phone for modern kids in Europe.

The analogue phone rings, they race to answer, and suddenly childhood feels a little more like it used to. More calling cousins, more chatting with grandparents, more making plans on their own — and none of it happens through a screen.

Llamadita is a child-first home phone designed for modern families.

It’s a real phone for the home , made for kids, loved by parents, and built to support more independence without opening the door to everything that comes with a smartphone.

We’re building Llamadita to be:

beautiful enough to live on your kitchen counter

simple enough for kids to use confidently

safe enough for parents to feel good about

special enough that kids actually want it

Built for families who want a better first phone

Parent-approved contacts

Only the people you approve can call in or be called out.

Quiet hours

Set the times when calls are allowed and when the phone stays silent.

A fixed home base

A phone that stays in the home, in a shared family space.

Real voice conversations

No feeds, no apps, no videos, no distractions, just like the good old days.

A beautiful physical phone

A design-forward object that feels nostalgic to parents and exciting to kids.

We believe this grows family by family, school by school, city by city

A home phone becomes even more fun when cousins, classmates, and close family friends have one too. That’s why we’re starting with a waitlist by city.

We need Your Support!

If we get 300 families interested, we will move forward. Please fill out the form below if you want a smart-phone free childhood for your kid!

Launching first in Barcelona.

We’re in the early stages of building Llamadita.

If you join the waitlist, you’ll be among the first to hear updates and, if you’re open to it, help shape the product through a short research call.

FAQs

  • Not yet. We’re currently in early beta and validating demand with families as we design the first version. So the more you share this with friends the better chance this comes to market!

  • Llamadita is a child-first home phone designed to help kids call family and trusted friends without needing a smartphone.

  • Because it’s a phone, not a portal. Llamadita is designed for calling, connection, and growing independence, without apps, feeds, or the pressure of a personal smart device.

  • Families with kids who are not ready for a smartphone, but are ready for a little more communication independence.

  • We’re starting by gathering interest in Barcelona and other European cities, and we’ll use waitlist demand to help decide where to go first.

  • No. We’re in the research and beta stage now, which means families who join early may help shape the product.

  • That’s part of the vision we’re currently exploring. We’re especially interested in learning what families care most about, including approved contacts, quiet hours, and setup preferences.

  • YES! We’re looking for parents who are open to a short research call as part of our early beta and discovery process.

  • Nope! Joining the waitlist just means you’re interested in hearing more and possibly helping us shape the first version. This also helps us gather a case for building the product. The more interest we receive, the better case we have for bringing this to market in Spain and Europe.

  • Yes! We’d love to know where demand is strongest. You can share your city in the form and let us know if you’d like to help spread the word locally.

Who is Behind This Anyways?

Hi, I’m Lizzie.

I’m not a tech genius with all the answers. I’m a mom, a builder, and someone with a real conviction that kids deserve a better future than one shaped by smart phones from an early age.

Llamadita started with a simple idea I couldn’t let go of: what if there were a better in-between? Something that gave kids more independence and connection, without handing them a smartphone. Something slower, safer, and more human. Something that helped families stay close, while protecting a little more childhood.

My background is in tech, marketing, community, and design, and I know how to build belief, brand, and momentum around something that matters. What I’m building now is bigger than me, and I’m looking for the right people to help bring it to life.

I’m currently looking for:

  • a Spanish technical cofounder who wants to help shape the product and service layer behind Llamadita

  • and possibly an operator cofounder with deep Spanish or Catalan roots, strong local instincts, and the ability to help bring this into families, schools, and communities here on the ground

If this sounds like your kind of mission, I’d love to hear from you: hello@designbylizzie.com
